Warner Bros. Pictures and MGM have announced March 16, 2018 as the release date for "Tomb Raider" reboot.

The upcoming movie will return with Academy Award 
winner Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl)as Lara Croft.
To be directed by Roar Uthaug and scripted byGeneva Robertson-
Dworet, the reboot will be distributed by Warner Bros.

The original Tomb Raider game was published in 1996, and went 
on to become one of the most successful video games of the 
time.  In 2013, a reboot of the series, telling the origin of Lara 
Croft was released, and sold over five million copies.
"Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The 
Cradle of Life," were made by Paramount Pictures and 
starred Angelina Jolie.
The films grossed a combined $432 million at the worldwide box 
office.
Vikander who will make her debut as Croft, made her feature film 
debut in "Pure" (2010), In 2016, she received the Academy Award 
for her role asGerda Wegener in "The Danish Girl."
